Barbaresco 2016 Francesco Versio
Barbaresco 2016 Francesco Versio is a red wine from Piedmont. Versio's is a recognised name among the new "young talents of the Langhe": for years a cellarer in Bruno Giacosa's winery, where he benefited from the teachings of Dante Scaglione, in 2012 he decided to set up on his own. Today Francesco Versio owns plots in very renowned areas in Neive, where his company is located, including the plot within the Currà mention, one of the most renowned Cru in Barbaresco. The grapes come from medium-old vines for wines that are always characterised by great elegance and silky tannins, as is the case with this Barbaresco, which expresses itself on the nose with notes of dried flowers, ripe red fruit, tobacco and light spice for a balanced and persistent sip.
