Barbaresco Vursù Valeirano 1999 La Spinetta
Barbaresco Valeirano La Spinetta is a fine Piedmontese wine that is born from the deep love for the territory of the company that produces it. It is a snapshot of the terroir of the Langhe, born in one of the most beautiful Cru of Barbaresco, the Valeirano vineyard in Treiso.
The Valeirano Vineyard from which the grapes for this Barbaresco La Spinetta are obtained is renowned for giving bunches of Nebbiolo grapes with marked mineral and fine qualities, the harvest is manual and fermentation takes place in steel tanks before maturation in French oak barriques for 22 months. Bottling takes place without clarification and filtration processes, before the wine is put on the market and stays in the bottle for 12 months.
The Barbaresco Valeirano is ruby red in the glass with garnet reflections, the nose denotes hints of red fruit in jam, dried rose petals, aromatic herbs, coffee and licorice. In the mouth it is complex, full-bodied but at the same time fine and elegant, with a soft and silky tannic texture. It is a wine capable of aging for many years, able as few can tell the best of the territory from which it comes.
