Barolo Brunate Magnum 2014 Marcarini
Barolo Brunate 2014 is a fine Piedmontese wine produced by Marcarini. The Nebbiolo grapes come from the vineyards of "Brunate", a historic area highly suited to the cultivation of this variety.
An excellent expression of the traditional Barolo of the Langhe, it is produced with great care and attention paid to all the working phases, principles that are at the basis of Marcarini's philosophy to obtain grapes of excellent quality: very low yields, harvesting of the grapes when they are completely and perfectly ripe, careful selection of the best bunches. Fermentation is controlled and maceration of the must in contact with the skins lasts for about four weeks. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for at least two years in medium-sized oak barrels (20/40 hectolitres).
Marcarini's Barolo Brunate 2014 shows a wonderful garnet red colour with ruby highlights, while the nose expresses a broad and intense bouquet of notes of vanilla and other sweet spices, tobacco, hay and underbrush. The sip is deep and elegant, with a long and intense aromatic persistence.
