Barolo Cannubi 2017 Francesco Rinaldi
Barolo "Cannubi" 2017 is a fine wine from Piedmont produced by Francesco Rinaldi. It is a great Barolo whose Nebbiolo grapes come from the most important Cru of the appellation. On this hill, in fact, there is a fusion between soils of different types and eras: the compact and marly soils of the Helvetian period alternate with the more clayey soils of the Tortonian period. In Barolo limestone, clay and sand allow the creation of balanced and complete wines which are elegant and with the typical aromas of the territory.
Barolo "Cannubi" carries out the alcoholic fermentation in steel and cement containers, with continuous pumping over of 20-30 days followed by an aging of 3 years in Slavonian oak casks. Intended for a long aging, it will express itself at its best after years of rest in bottle.
To the eye it expresses a ruby red wine with garnet hues, while the nose offers a complex bouquet of ripe fruit such as cherry jam, strawberry, notes of black tea, leather, spices, dried flowers, mineral and balsamic notes. The sip is balanced between structure and the finesse and elegance typical of this cru. A great wine, representative of a unique and prestigious terroir, a bottle which cannot be missing in the cellars of wine lovers.
