The Barolo Cascina Francia 2016 Magnum by Giacomo Conterno, is one of the best bottles of the denomination, made from Nebbiolo grapes that come from the cru France from which it takes its name.
The Barolo Cascina Francia 2016 Conterno comes from one of the best vineyards of the Langa, in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, in the vineyards the work is done with passion and extreme attention to detail, the harvest is manual and only the best bunches are taken inside the winery Giacomo Conterno, to be then pressed to obtain the must that will be left to macerate for more than 30 days. The fermentation takes place in Austrian wooden vats without toasting, while the aging in oak barrels of various sizes, for a period of 48 months. It is finally settled a few months in bottle before release.
The Barolo Cascina Francia by Giacomo Conterno is presented in the glass of a beautiful ruby red color, with garnet reflections. The nose is extremely complex with aromas of cherry and small berries, balsamic notes of licorice and mint, toasted and leather. The sip is fascinating and powerful, with a long persistence and a great propensity for aging. A majestic wine.
