Champagne Grand Cuvée 167 Krug
Grand Cuvée 167ème Édition Krug is a fine Champagne that perfectly embodies the philosophy of its founder Joseph Krug: when in 1843 he founded the Maison Krug & Cie, he had only one idea: to create the best Champagne in the world.
Today we continue to follow that model of perfection in order to create a wine that is the highest expression of quality, for every vintage and regardless of the weather. In fact, this Krug Grande Cuvée 167ème Édition is composed by a blend of 191 wines of 13 different vintages, from 1991 to 2011.
To the wine of the current vintage (in this case 2011) is blended 42% of reserve wines. All the production steps, starting from the selection of the best grapes, are done with extreme precision in order to guarantee the best result, up to the final phase when the wine is aged on lees in bottle for 7 years before being released on the market. Krug Grande Cuvée 167ème Édition shows a wonderful and warm straw yellow color with golden hues.
The nose offers a complex bouquet of dried fruits such as hazelnut and almond, along with gourmet notes of brioche and honey. The sip is rich, textured, yet endowed with great elegance.
A myth that continues to be handed down, a Champagne that never disappoints.
