Le Grand Blanc 2014 Domaine Milan
Le Grand Blanc 2014 is a French white wine from Provence produced by Domaine Milan. It is made from a blend of different grape varieties typical of the area (Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc, Roussane, Rolle, Muscat Petit Grains), which allow it to develop an aromatic complexity, increased by aging in wood. The grapes come from vines that are about 20 years old and grow on soil consisting of marl with limestone and exposed to the currents of the Mediterranean Sea, elements that make this area particularly suitable for viticulture.
In addition to this, the principles of biodynamic agriculture are followed with full respect for the balance between man and nature, through which Henry Milan aims to obtain wines that express in a pure and harmonious way the character of the Provence region. After soft pressing, the must is sent for spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in barriques. Maturation then takes place in barriques for 12 months in contact with the fine lees and ends in cement, after which the wine is bottled without any clarification or filtration.
Le Grand Blanc 2014 expresses in the glass a beautiful intense straw yellow colour. On the nose it expresses intense aromas of citrus, yellow fruit, slightly spicy hints and nuances of vanilla, for a complex and structured sip, perfectly balanced between softness and freshness.
