Pingus 2016 Domain of Pingus
Pingus 2016 is a fine red wine from the famous Spanish company Dominio de Pingus. The winery is one of the most renowned in the Ribera del Duero, and 2016 was an exceptional year for this unobtainable wine, the result of the work of the Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck. Pingus 2016 perfectly embodies the personality of the wines of this Spanish region: produced from a careful selection of grapes from old vineyards located in the Castile and Léon region north of Madrid, it testifies to the typicality of the Tinto Fino grape, the local name of Tempranillo. Rare wine from a wonderful vintage that allowed a great concentration of the fruit and remarkable aromatic freshness, Pingus 2016 is elegant and fresh. The nose opens with a bouquet of red berry fruit in which a bewitching cherry aroma predominates which is accompanied by complex smoky and herbaceous notes. On the palate, the combination of the softness and acidity of the fruit creates a perfect balance with the solid tannic structure, with a long finish that turns towards minerality. A great wine that shows unparalleled class and elegance. It goes perfectly with lamb dishes, or tasty meats and structured dishes.
