Champagne Guy MichelGuy Michel et Fils is a Maison located in Pierry, in the first village south of Epernay, in the heart of the Marne Valley, and has an extension of its own vineyards of about 20 hectares, distributed in about ten villages.
The classic Champagne vines are grown here (about 50% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir), coming from different terroirs in terms of both soil and climate conditions and exposure. This situation certainly makes vineyard management more difficult, but at the same time makes it possible to produce balanced and complex cuvées.
In addition, almost all of the vineyards are planted with grass, a technique that is very respectful of the environment and which demonstrates the great sensitivity and attention paid by the vine-dressers, who carry out most of their work in the traditional way and with full respect for the terroir. The same philosophy and attention are applied in the cellar, in order to obtain authentic and high quality Champagnes.
