MONTE BRECALE
Monte Brecale natural wines from Veneto
Monte Brecale farm is located in Fontanafredda di Cinto Euganeo, south of the province of Padua, in the heart of the Euganean Hills, in Veneto.
It is a family-run business born in 1999 by Franco Sinigaglia who today, together with his wife Fabrizia and son Matteo, manage their 5 hectares of vines according to principles of organic agriculture, certified since 2015. The vines, about 40 years old aged, they rest on marly-clayey and trachytic volcanic soils, which give the wines particular mineral hints.
The company immediately wanted to adopt a sustainable approach, limiting the quantities of copper and sulfur, intervening at least in the vineyard if not manually, despite the typical slopes of the area. The vineyards are characterized by low yields per hectare and the selection is made manually, directly on the plant.
The wines obtained are pure and authentic representations of the terroir of origin: fresh and vertical wines, lively and mineral. They do not hide their origin from volcanic soils with a marly-limestone texture and from the ventilated microclimate characteristic of the Euganean Hills.
