Natural wines in the Chianti Classico area

Montesecondo, located in Cerbaia in Val di Pesa, in the historic denomination of Chianti Classico, is one of those realities that can still be found in the Chianti area: the reality of small cellars producing natural wines, without any use of chemicals and in full respect of the terroir. The company philosophy is in fact based on the concept that only a wine has worked in a natural way, with minimal interventions in the vineyard and in the cellar, the result of respecting the balance of the earth, can be worthy of considering the territory to which it belongs. With love and passion for its land and its products, the organization has been carrying out this work since 1999, the year in which it was founded by Silvio and Catalina Messan. To date it includes 20 hectares divided into two different areas for land, climate and exposure: the first is located in an area of ​​clayey and sandy matrix wrong in galestro, and gives warmer, more mature and pulpy wines; the other is located at 450 meters above sea level, in a soil rich in limestone and particularly suitable and gives crisper, fresher and more acidic wines. In addition to a particularly significant Chianti Classico, certainly among the most interesting in the area, Montesecondo produces a range of generous and interesting wines, equipped with adaptations to the most varied combinations with the typical products of Tuscan cuisine, and beyond. Very pleasant wines to drink, to appreciate and keep in the cellar.
