POSSA
Possa, authentic wines from Liguria
The Possa winery is located in the municipality of Riomaggiore, in the wonderful context of the Cinque Terre, in Liguria. Since 2004 the winery has been run by Heydi Samuele Bonanini, who despite the difficulties due to the type of terrain with hydrogeological risk that have caused in recent decades an almost total abandonment of the cultivation of these lands, has never given up in his intention to produce wine following the winemaking traditions of the area.
Here the vines grow on steep terraces, with dry stone walls over two kilometres long that are difficult to reach, and the grapes are transported by boat or monorail up the slope, until destemming, which in the case of sciacchetrà is done by hand grape by grape after drying. Mainly native vines of the area are cultivated, such as Albarola, Bosco, Cannaiolo and Bonamico, all according to traditional principles and without chemicals in total respect for the environment.
Behind the courageous work of Heydi, who after many years of working as a truck driver has decided to devote himself exclusively to the production of wine, there is a deep love for the land and respect for nature, the basis of a production philosophy that sees the birth of unique bottles, authentic and territorial.
