Antelio 2017 Camerlengo
Antelio 2017 Camerlengo is a red wine from Basilicata, produced with natural methods and obtained from 100% Aglianico, the main autochthonous grape of the region. This grape produces powerful and tannic wines with a great aging potential, which is best expressed in this volcanic terroir of Vulture with typical mineral hints found in the wine. In the case of this Antelio wine, grapes come from 30 years old vines at 400m of altitude. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in chestnut wood casks with maceration for 25 days, with no clarification or filtration. Aging takes place for 12 months in chestnut casks and 8 months in bottle. Camerlengo Antelio shows an intense and dark red color, with garnet red reflections. The nose is very expressive and territorial with notes of black pepper, berries, licorice, leather, earth and minerals which continuously evolve in the glass. The taste is fresh and sapid, persistent. A wine with an excellent quality/price ratio.
