Barbaresco Magnum 2017 Prunotto
Barbaresco Magnum 2017 is a Piedmontese red wine produced by Prunotto. It is a classic version of Barbaresco with a structured and austere personality, made according to traditional methods: from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the municipalities of Treiso and Barbaresco, on a rich terroir called Marne di Sant'Agata, with high amounts of manganese, zinc and boron. Fermentation takes place with maceration on the skins for about 10 days, followed by malolactic fermentation, after which the wine matures for 12 months in large oak barrels, ending with a further 12 months' rest in the bottle. This Barbaresco Prunotto shows a deep garnet colour, the nose expresses mainly aromas of small red fruits, violets, leather, tobacco and typical earthy and underwood scents. The sip is full-bodied, austere and persistent.
