Barbera Francia by Giacomo Conterno, is one of the best bottles of the denomination, is one of the few Barbera wines cultivated in a Cru, in cru France from which it takes its name, from which also Nebbiolo grapes used for the homonymous Barolo Francia and the famous Barolo Monfortino are derived.
The Barbera Cascina Francia Conterno comes from one of the best vineyards of Langa, in the town of Serralunga d'Alba, in the vineyards the work is done with passion and extreme attention to detail, the harvest is manual and only the best bunches are brought into the cellar Giacomo Conterno to produce his Barbera Francia. The bunches are destemmed and then pressed, before being vinified in steel, the aging takes place in large barrels for a total of 20 months, before being bottled and sold.
The Barbera d'Alba Cascina Francia by Giacomo Conterno is presented in a beautiful ruby red glass, the nose is dominated by red fruit, accompanied by red flowers and a mineral component. In the mouth it is a powerful, balanced wine with a light tannic texture and a pleasant freshness.
