Barbera d’Alba Superiore “Pujna” Lanzarotti
Barbera d'Alba Superiore "Pujna" is a Piedmontese red wine produced by Lanzarotti, made from pure Barbera grapes from a predominantly clayey terroir with a percentage of sand, from vineyards with an average age of about 20 years. Vinification with maceration takes place in the traditional way, using the semi-immersed cap method for a duration of 10 days, after which the wine is aged in French oak barriques, some new, some 2-3 years old. Lanzarotti's Barbera d'Alba Superiore "Pujna" shows a beautiful ruby red colour with purple reflections, while the nose shows red fruit such as blackberries and cherries together with vanilla notes. The taste is warm but balanced by a nice freshness, with a long and spicy finish.
