Barolo Castellero 2016 Giacomo Fenocchio
Barolo Bussia 2016 is a fine wine from Piedmont produced by Giacomo Fenocchio. The grapes come from the prestigious cru Bussia, of about 5 hectares, with a beautiful southern exposure and a predominantly clayey and calcareous soil, rich in iron, which gives the Barolo produced here structure and complexity.
This is one of the most authentic expressions of Barolo in Monforte d'Alba, cultivated according to sustainable principles for the protection of the environment, and whose aromatic concentration and longevity are emphasised: this is why long macerations and spontaneous fermentations are carried out using the grapes' indigenous yeasts, and why the Barolo is aged slowly.
This work results in a Barolo Bussia of great elegance and territoriality, a wine of intense ruby red colour with garnet highlights. The nose offers an intense and ethereal bouquet of liquorice, withered roses and tar, accompanied by warm and spicy aromas. The taste is full and warm, harmonious and persistent, elegant, with an excellent tannic structure.
