Barolo 2013 Burlotto
This Barolo 2013 is a great Italian fine wine produced by Burlotto, one of the most relevant names in the Piedmontese wine scene. The grapes come from several of the estate's own vineyards in Barolo.
The wine is aged in 35-50 hectolitre Slavonian and Allier barrels for a period ranging from 24 to 36 months. Garnet red in colour with orange highlights, it expresses an intense and fruity bouquet of cloves and blueberries, with a hint of black pepper.
In the mouth it is fruity, spicy with a structured and powerful flavour, elegant and balanced, with soft and silky tannins. A respectable entry level, with great power and elegance in line with the winery's style.
