Barolo 2016 Brovia
Brovia's Barolo 2016 is a fine Piedmontese wine, one of the most interesting traditional versions of Langhe wines. It is the result of meticulous work in the vineyard and in the cellar where modern techniques are used, even if referring to traditional production methods. Barolo di Brovia is obtained from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from vineyards located in different areas of the estate. The grapes are carefully selected, then undergo a long maceration on the skins and spontaneous fermentation followed by malolactic fermentation and the subsequent 24 months ageing in large Slavonian oak barrels. It has a not too full ruby red colour, characteristic of Nebbiolo; on the nose it gives a complex bouquet of cherries, dried red flowers and spices, against a background of earth and roasted coffee and tobacco. In the mouth it is balanced between structure, freshness and tannin, where it shows a great elegance that will express itself at its best after some years of ageing.
