Barolo Riserva "Le Rocche del Falletto" 2012 Bruno Giacosa
Bruno Giacosa's Barolo Riserva "Le Rocche del Falletto" is one of the greatest wines of the world, recognized by every wine lover of the globe as a monument to enology, the historicity of the winery, the production limited only to great vintages and the prestigious cru from which the grapes are born, make this fine wine, immediately recognizable by the color of the label, red instead of white, one of the greatest Barolo ever produced.
Rocche del Falletto Riserva Bruno Giacosa is a classic style Barolo, produced according to the ancient traditions of Langhe with very long macerations and aging in large casks. Grapes come from the cru Le Rocche of Serralunga d'Alba, one of the 11 communes where Barolo can be produced. The wine is extremely territorial, in the glass we find all the characteristics that distinguish this commune, powerful tannins, great depth and austerity.
Barolo Rocche del Falletto Riserva shows in the glass an elegant garnet color, approaching the nose it is immediately clear to be in the presence of a great wine: the bouquet, wide and intense, is an explosion of scents, from dog rose to red fruits such as cherry, from tobacco to spices, passing through leather, underbrush and violet. In the mouth is an exceptional wine, despite the power and austerity what strikes is the finesse and elegance. The finish is very long, the taste never seems to leave. A unique and incomparable wine.
