Barolo 2016 Fratelli Barale
Barolo 2016 from Fratelli Barale is a red wine from Piedmont, with a classic and very territorial style. Both in the vineyard and in the cellar, organic farming principles are followed, with great attention paid to the quality of the grapes. This Barolo is made from a blend of grapes from the vineyards of three crus in the commune of Barolo: Coste di Rose, Preda and Monrobiolo, which are located at an altitude of about 250 metres above sea level with an east and south-west exposure.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with maceration on the skins lasting about a month, after which the wine is aged for 36 months in large 10 and 30 hectolitre oak casks, with a further 12 months in the bottle before sale. The Barolo 2016 of Fratelli Barale, thanks to its great territoriality, allows you to better understand the peculiarities of this terroir:
in the glass it shows a rather intense garnet red colour, the nose expresses floral notes of violets and dried rose petals, hints of small red berry fruits and delicately spicy nuances. On the palate it has a good structure, with a complex and harmonious taste, a fine tannic texture and a fresh and persistent finish.
