Bouches Du Rhone "Petit Salé" 2020 Chateau Roquefort
Bouches Du Rhone "Petit Salé" 2020 is a white wine from Provence produced by Chateau Roquefort. It is made from a blend of Rolle (Vermentino), Ugni Blanc and Clairette which come from old vines of about 50 years of age that have very low yields, with grapes of great concentration and intensity, exposed to the north-west at an altitude of 380 m above sea level. The soil where the vines grow is composed of a clayey, calcareous and stony matrix.
All processes, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, follow organic farming principles with a ban on the use of chemical substances: after the harvest, the grapes are gently pressed at a temperature of about 5 degrees, with subsequent fermentation of the must carried out spontaneously with only indigenous yeasts in cement tanks. The final ageing lasts 6 months in contact with the fine lees, always in the same cement containers. At the end of maturation, the wine is bottled without sulphites.
Bouches du Rhone Blanches Château de Roquefort shows a luminous straw yellow colour in the glass, with greenish reflections. The nose is fresh and lively with notes of grapefruit, white flowers and almond on the finish, for a distinctly mineral sip, an element conferred by its proximity to the sea.
