Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2006 Tenuta Le Potazzine
Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is the flagship of Tenuta Le Potazzine's production, it is produced only in the best vintages and contains all the excellence of Tuscan Sangiovese. Grapes for this wine come from two different vineyards, the first one, "La prata" at an altitude of 500 meters (1,640 feet) with south-west exposure and "La Torre" at an altitude of 300 meters (1,300 feet) with south-east exposure. Both vineyards are cultivated in organic farming.
Brunello Riserva Le Potazzine is produced in the winery from a spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, with punching down and pumping over for a whole month, after which the wine is aged for 60 months in large Slavonian oak casks, before being aged for one year in bottle.
In the glass it shows a brilliant garnet red color accompanied by a fine and elegant bouquet with nuances of dried flowers, aromas of small red berries, underbrush, spices, licorice and balsamic herbs. In the mouth is perceived the great structure with an important body and evolved and complex aromas, framed in a fine tannic texture and a very well balanced freshness.
A great, great expression of Brunello di Montalcino.
