Champagne Blanc de Blancs Mineral 2012 Domaine Agrapart
The Champagne Blanc de Blancs Mineral 2012 is a fine wine produced by Domaine Agrapart. It is a very fresh and mineral Champagne Blanc de Blancs because the Chardonnay grapes that make it come from soils with a predominantly chalky matrix, which gives the grapes great minerality. In particular, they come from the Grand Cru plots of Bionnes in Cramant and Champbouton in Avize, from vines that are about 40 years old. The dosage is low at 3 g/l, classified as Extra Brut, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place in oak barrels while re-fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise method. The wine then matures for about 60 months in the bottle. The Champagne Blanc de Blancs Mineral 2011 by Agrapart fully expresses the terroir and the winery's style: it has a bright straw yellow colour, while the nose expresses a bouquet of apple, white peach and citrus fruits, notes of butter and pastry. The sip is very fresh, mineral and persistent.
