Champagne Blanc de Noirs Les Barres 2015 Chartogne Taillet
Champagne Blanc de Noirs Les Barres 2015 is a fine champagne produced by Chartogne Taillet. It is made from Pinot Meunier grapes from an old vineyard over 60 years old, planted on soils consisting of chalk sand and limestone.
The wine is fermented in oak barrels using only indigenous yeasts, while following the second fermentation, it is aged on the lees in the bottle for at least 70 months. Chartogne Taillet's Pinot Meunier "Les Barres" is an elegant and rich Champagne that purely expresses the fine grapes and terroir of Merfy in the Montagne de Reims.
It shows a brilliant golden yellow colour, with a fine and persistent perlage. The intense nose recalls aromas of white flowers, ripe fruit and yeast. The sip is full and rich, with deep aromas that stretch harmoniously towards a finish of lively freshness, savoury and mineral.
