Champagne Orizeaux 2014 Chartogne Taillet
Champagne Orizeaux 2014 is a fine champagne produced by Chartogne Taillet. It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grown in the Orizeux parcel, in the area of the Montagne de Reims, the undisputed home of this vine. The grapes come from approximately 50-year-old vines, cultivated according to organic farming principles without any kind of chemical product, while the vinification takes place in oak.
The old vines and the use of wood for fermentation, together with the long rest on the lees, make this Champagne extremely rich and complex. The Champagne Orizeaux 2014 of Chartogne Taillet shows a beautiful golden yellow colour with a fine, numerous and persistent perlage. The nose offers an intense bouquet of ripe fruity aromas, notes of bread crust and vanilla, spicy and toasted hints.
The sip is well-structured, long and persistent with a finish that balances the richness of the sip with a pleasant freshness and tanginess. It is a great gastronomic Champagne, to be served throughout a meal with seafood or white meat dishes.
