"Costera" Cannonau di Sardegna 2019 Argiolas
Costera Argiolas is one of the best expressions of the typical Sardinian grape variety, Cannonau, a wine that best describes the territory from which it comes. An Italian table red that combines charm and complexity.
The Cannonau Argiolas comes from calcareous-clayey soil, the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in vitrified tanks and while the subsequent maturation in small oak casks for 8-10 months, before being put on the market, the wine stays a few more months in the bottle.
The Cannonau Costera has a beautiful ruby red color with garnet reflections, the nose speaks of Sardinia, with notes of ripe red fruit, plum, myrtle, vanilla, pepper and tobacco, in addition to the toasted notes given by the wood. In the mouth it is a soft and structured wine, well balanced by a fresh vein.
The Cannonau Costera Argiolas is an excellent example of Sardinian red wine, a wine that makes simplicity and great value for money its best weapons.
