Langhe Freisa 2018 Giuseppe Rinaldi
Langhe Freisa 2018 is a fine Piedmontese wine produced by Giuseppe Rinaldi. It is made from 100% Freisa, a grape that is a little underestimated, but which is actually among the oldest indigenous varieties of Piedmont. Some recent studies have associated Freisa with the same DNA as Nebbiolo, and it is a wine that Rinaldi has always produced with firm conviction, never as a B series product. This Langhe Freisa undergoes a spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, matures for about 7-8 months in oak barrels with the addition of very little sulfur dioxide before bottling. Intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, it expresses a dense scent of rose, raspberry, black cherry, wild strawberry, hints of underbrush and pepper, light ripe vegetable.
