Nobile Montepulciano Prugnolo 2018 Poderi Boscarelli
Nobile Montepulciano Prugnolo 2018 is a Tuscan red wine produced by Poderi Boscarelli. It is made from a blend of Sangiovese (Prugnolo Gentile) at 85% with minimum percentages of Canaiolo and Colorino, which come from 10-year-old vineyards located in Cervognano, resting on calcareous soils of alluvial origin, with the presence of sand, silt and clay. Harvesting is manual, fermentation takes place spontaneously in steel or oak vats for a week at a controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins for 5-7 days. Finally, the wine is aged in Allier and Slavonian oak barrels of various capacities for a period ranging from 18 to 24 months. Boscarelli's Nobile Montepulciano Prugnolo 2018 is a structured and territorial wine. It shows a beautiful bright ruby red colour, while the nose releases elegant aromas and hints of roses and violets, morello cherry and berry jam, spices and liquorice. The taste is soft and warm, enveloping and refined, with a well-present tannin.
