ARPEPE: the authentic Nebbiolo from ValtellinaAr.pe.pe is a Valtellina winery which was established in 1984 by Arturo Pellizzatti Perego, and is now run by Isabella and Emanuele Pellizzati Perego, Arturo's sons. The company's philosophy binds the great bond with tradition and innovative production techniques, in order to exalt all the innate characteristics of Nebbiolo della Valtellina.
The two young brothers have chosen to innovate in the name of tradition, integrity and respect for the heritage of the family vineyards; only in this way it was possible to keep alive the line followed by Arturo, not disdaining, however, to open to innovative and evolutionary choices from a technological point of view. This is also the reason why they have chosen a type of eco-sustainable viticulture, with zero impact on the environment, such as the use of geothermal energy, which exploits the natural heat of the earth in order to regulate cellar and estate's temperatures.
The characteristic of Ar.Pe.Pe's wines are the long aging, in fact, according to Arturo, time and patience are the key to obtain a wine which expresses its full potential and elegance. Even bottling, which is strictly marked by lunar phases, is done according to the model of its founder. A great winery which has the merit of representing in an authentic way the terroir of Valtellina.
