DESCOMBES
Friend and student of Marcel Lapierre, one of the historic producers of natural wines in Beaujolais. Fifteen hectares divided into five different AOCs, all individually vinified. Morgon, Bruilly, Regnie, Fleury and Sant Amour. Maniacal care in handling grapes, carbonic maceration in pre-fermentation, slow and delicate pressing. Unfiltered. Vermont, Villié-Morgon, a Village in the geographical wake of Burgundy, located in the center of France. Fifteen hectares spread over five different Beaujolais AOCs all vinified strictly in a separate form: the exaltation of the awareness of the uniqueness of each individual terroir. Every little detail creates a different, subtle but true result. Vineyards perched on steep and difficult to follow terrain, often work without the use of mechanical tools is the only solution. Maniacal care in handling grapes, carbonic maceration in pre-fermentation, slow and delicate pressing. Unfiltered. Long and polite, harmonious, it manages to combine something meaty and ephemeral with a gratifying and long-lasting crystalline touch. The most incredible thing is its juiciness, while the most difficult is intertwining us with so much refinement.
