ISOLE E OLENA
Isole e Olena, fine Tuscan wines
Isole e Olena is a Tuscan winery located in the heart of Chianti and it was founded in the 1950's by De Marchi family. It is Paolo de Marchi who makes Isola e Olena's wines great: after having obtained a degree in agriculture and a training experience in California, he came back to Tuscany with the goal of producing quality wines.
His are wines that rest for a long time in the cellar, after the vinification phases have taken place naturally, without the addition of indigenous yeasts, and the grapes from which the fine must originate have enjoyed the best light of Barberino Val d'Elsa, ancient Florentine outpost, located halfway between Siena and Florence.
Currently the vineyard surface of ownership reaches to cover 56 hectares, which annually translate into an average production that reaches 200 thousand bottles of traditional wines of the region such as Chianti Classico, Cepparello and Sangiovese in purity.
Among the rows, the plants are bred with the utmost respect for what is the balance of environment, nature and ecosystem, so they produce rich, valuable and concentrated grapes in all their organoleptic nuances.
The countless national and international awards, which Paolo De Marchi receives each year, confirm the great work done both in the vineyard and in the cellar.
