MARQUIS D'ANGERVILLE
Domaine Marquis d’Angerville, biodynamich wines from Burgundy
The Domaine Marquis d'Angerville is one of the most fascinating realities of the Côte de Beaune, in Burgundy, located in the small town of Volnay and covering an area of about 12 hectares. Jacques d'Angerville was the founder of the estate and he is also credited with the development of Burgundy wines, the same careful and passionate work is now managed by his son Guillaume.
The Domaine encompasses a number of renowned crus that demonstrate the winery's ability to represent different types of terroir, including the single vineyard Clos des Ducs, a true benchmark for Côte de Beaune wines, along with other premier crus in Clos des Angles, Frémiet, Caillerets, Champans and Taillepieds.
Guillame d'Angerville has decided to convert directly to biodynamic agriculture for the management of the vineyards, because for him careful work in the vineyard is essential to ensure the production of authentic wines, able to reflect in a pure way the terroir to which they belong. The result of this choice is fifteen different labels each year, each with its own character and expressiveness, to best interpret the territory and satisfy different tastes.
