Barbera d'Alba Battaglione 2019 Renato Ratti
Barbera d'Alba Battaglione 2019 is a Piedmontese red wine produced by Renato Ratti. An intense and fruity red wine that is aged for a year in wooden barrels, a passage that enriches the aromatic profile with elegant spiciness. Harvesting takes place between the end of September and the beginning of October, to allow the grapes to be picked when fully ripe. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature of between 28 and 30 degrees. Maceration lasts an average of 7-10 days. The wine is then aged for 12 months in wooden barrels of different capacities. Barbera d'Alba "Battaglione" has an intense ruby red colour with purple highlights. The nose has essentially fruity notes, which are later enriched with spicy notes. In the mouth it is medium-bodied, round and fresh, quite persistent.
