Barolo Cannubi 2016 Chiara Boschis
Barolo Cannubi is the flagship label of the historic winery E. Pira & Figli di Chiara Boschis winery in Barolo. It is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the prestigious Cannubi cru in the commune of Barolo.
Vinification and refinement follow a strict production regulation: Chiara Boschis has been able to give with talent and courage a modern imprint to her company for the production of elegant and refined Barolo, far from the austerity typical of traditional bottles. In keeping with this style, this Barolo is aged in barriques, where it spends at least 24 months, rather than in large casks, plus 12 months in the bottle. The result is a balanced and elegant wine with sublime aromas and structure.
Chiara Boschis Barolo Cannubi 2016 has a beautiful ruby red colour in the glass with elegant garnet reflections, the nose expresses notes of violet and liquorice, undergrowth and roots, berries and foliage. The taste is intense and structured, with delicate tannins balanced by a nice freshness. An elegant Barolo with a long life ahead of it.
