Barolo Parafada 2012 Massolino
Barolo Parafada is a fine Piedmontese wine from the Massolino winery, from the fine terroir of Serralunga d'Alba. The Nebbiolo grapes come from the Parafada cru, from vineyards that were acquired around the 1960s by the grandchildren of the founder, who showed great skill in seeing the great potential of this territory.
Here they produce austere and powerful wines, endowed with an incredible aromatic complexity and a great ageing potential (even 20 years), so much so that they undergo very long ageing times in wood and in the bottle, even compared to other Barolo wines from neighbouring areas, from at least five to ten years.
This is the case with this Barolo Parafada: deep garnet red in colour, it expresses an intense and complex bouquet of spicy and floral tones, for a well-balanced sip between structure and elegance, and very persistent.
