VIETTI
Vietti is a historical reality in Langhe, the company is based in Castiglione Falletto in the heart of the Langhe, one of the most prestigious areas for the production of great fine wines.
The Vietti company was founded at the end of the nineteenth century by Carlo Vietti and his son Mario began producing the first Vietti wines in 1919. An important protagonist in the history of Vietti and Italian wine in general was Alfredo Currado who in 1957 was the first to select and vinify grapes from individual vineyards, the first "crus" were born in 1961, the Barolo Rocche and the Barbaresco Masseria.
Alfredo Currado also has another great merit, in 1967 he was the first to rediscover an almost disappeared grape variety, the Arneis and for the first time he vinified it in purity, nicknamed for this as "the father of Arneis", to date this Variety is the most famous white wine of the Albese area.
Today Vietti is considered one of the most authoritative exponents of Piedmontese and Italian wine in the world, representing the excellence of Made in Italy wine in the best possible way.
