Bourgogne Chardonnay La Petite Selection 2019 Anne Gros
Bourgogne Chardonnay La Petite Selection 2019 is a fine white wine from Burgundy produced by Anne Gros. This wine is a great version of Burgundy Chardonnay made at the hands of a talented producer who has been able to put together one of the best Domaine in the Côte de Nuits.
It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from vines that were planted in 1994, in the lieu-dit Les Pasquiers. Although they come from a terroir predisposed to red grapes, this Chardonnay grows very well in the clayey soil of Vosne-Romanée, so much so that only a few bottles of this wine were initially produced and it quickly became a great success. To make the cuvée there is first a cold pressing, then fermentation in steel vats and then in 500 litre oak barrels (30% new wood) for several weeks.
The 2019 Bourgogne Chardonnay La Petite Selection has a bright straw yellow colour, with a profile of honey, flowers and white fruits (white peach, apple, pear). The sip is balanced between richness and freshness, persistent.
