Brunello di Montalcino 2016 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona
Brunello di Montalcino 2016 is a Tuscan red wine produced by the Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona winery. A remarkable interpretation of one of the most important Italian wines and undisputed king of the Montalcino area, it is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes from vineyards spread over an area of 8 hectares planted with vines of medium texture and marl, at an altitude between 240 and 360 m above sea level. The best grapes are selected for the production of this bottle, the fermentation takes place in stainless steel and cement tanks and then the wine matures in Slavonian oak barrels for more than two years, after which it is refined in the bottle for more than eight months. Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona's Brunello di Montalcino 2016 shows a beautiful ruby red colour with garnet highlights, while the nose expresses a complex bouquet of red fruits and spices. The sip is enveloping and balanced, with great structure and a fairly present tannin, ending in a long lingering finish.
