Champagne Brut "R" Ruinart
Champagne "R" is a cuvée produced by the famous Maison Ruinart by assembling the three typical grape varieties of the Champagne region, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. It is a bubble of great charm, elegant and harmonious that sees the light after 36 months of refinement on the lees.
Ruinart's cuvée "R" best represents the spirit of this Maison de Champagne which, having been founded in 1729, is the oldest in the region. The Pinot Noir comes from the Montagne de Reims and the Chardonnay from the Côte de Blancs.
After the harvest the grapes are taken to the cellar where they are softly pressed and vinified in white, at the end of the assembly of the base wines the cuvée is re-fermented in the bottle, according to the Champenoise method, for at least 36 months.
The Champagne Brut "R" is presented in the glass of a golden yellow colour with a fine and elegant perlage, the nose is dominated by hints of citrus accompanied by notes of bread crust, hazelnut, almond, pear, apple and apricot. In the mouth it is really balanced and soft with a deep and persistent sip, the finish is long with mineral hints.
