Champagne Cristal 2012 Louis Roederer
Cristal is undoubtedly one of the most famous Champagnes in the world and the 2012 cuvée does justice to its name and fame.
The Champagne Cristal cuvée is vinified only in great vintages, when the ripening of the grapes is perfect and every piece of the puzzle of a vintage, rain, sun and wind, is set in the right place, 2008 was a continental vintage, charged and powerful even if the strangely cool temperatures of summer have given this vintage an intense and salty freshness.
Cristal 2008 is a blend of 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir, with a dosage of 8 g / l and has been aged in the bottle for 10 years before disgorging and a rest period of another 8 months in the bottle.
In the glass, the champagne has an amber color with green and orange reflections, with a fine and regular perlage, on the nose the Cristal 2012 gives an intense and very complex bouquet that ranges from citrus to yellow fruits, from pear to toasted almond. In the mouth it is an explosion, powerful and sweet, fresh and pure, with a bewitching saline finish.
Champagne Cristal 2012 is a fantastic Champagne, complete and immense, which can already be tasted but with a few years in the bottle it could become heavenly.
