Champagne Les Vignes de Montgueux Jacques Lassaigne
Champagne Les Vignes de Montgueux is a fine Champagne produced by Jacques Lassaigne. Jacques and his son Emmanuel have become famous in Montgueux for their Champagne Blanc de Blancs with great elegance and minerality, and obtained according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture in full respect for the environment. This Champagne is an example, made from 100% Chardonnay grapes which, as the name suggests, come from the chalky terroir of Montgueux. The fermentations are spontaneous and the base wines mature in new and old barrels for 12 to 24 months, while they remain to age in the bottle for 1-5 years until disgorging. Jacques Lassaigne's Champagne Les Vignes de Montgueux shows an intense straw yellow colour with a fine, numerous and persistent perlage. The nose offers hints of citrus, dried fruit and minerals, a classic profile of the Montgueux terroir. The sip is balanced, fresh and persistent.
