Champagne Royal Reserve Pas Dosé Sboc 2020 2015 Philipponnat
Champagne Pas Dosé Royale Réserve is a fine wine produced by Philipponnat. It is made from a blend of 65% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Meunier from villages classified as Grand Cru and Premier Cru of Champagne. The fermentation of the base wines takes place in steel, after careful selection of the best grapes in the vineyard.
The malolactic fermentation is partially carried out and the maturation of the reserve wines takes place in wooden barrels, 20%-30% of which are managed according to the solera method. Once the cuvée has been created, re-fermentation in the bottle takes place according to the Champenoise method and the wine is left to mature on the lees in the bottle for a period of approximately 36 months, without any dosage.
The Champagne Pas Dosé Royale Réserve has a beautiful pale golden yellow colour, with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose offers an elegant floral bouquet with aromas of lime and hawthorn, citrus and a lingering finish of yeast and pastry. In the mouth it is straight, very fresh and mineral.
