Cirò Riserva "Più Vite" 2011 Sergio Arcuri
The Cirò Riserva "Più Vite" 2011 is a natural wine produced in Calabria by Sergio Arcuri. It is made from pure Gaglioppo grapes that grow on vineyards about 70 years old from the most prestigious cru of the estate, the Piciara vineyard. This wine is the result of the fusion of love and respect for the land and a touch of innovation: in the vineyard no chemical substances are used, the grapes are harvested when fully ripe, while in the cellar the fermentation takes place spontaneously in concrete tanks called "palmenti". Refinement takes place for 4 years in cement and 1 year in bottle before release. Cirò Riserva "Più vite" is an intense garnet red wine, with a complex bouquet of red fruit, spices, hints of Mediterranean scrub and iodine and marine notes. A warm and powerful wine, it perfectly expresses the Calabria region and its terroir.
