Cirò Rosso Superiore 2018 Scala
Cirò Rosso Superiore 2018 is a Calabrian red wine produced by Scala. The company, located in Cirò Marina in the province of Crotone, has as its objective the production of wines that want to stand out and best represent the region through the preference of native vines. Thus was born the Cirò in its red and white versions in a very well-known territory which is that of the wonderful Calabrian Ionian coast where the sunny climate, always ventilated and mitigated by sea breezes, allows the quality and perfect ripening of the grapes that grow on soils of clayey matrix rich in sands. Cirò Rosso Sup. 2018 is produced exclusively from Gaglioppo, a native grape from a plot of approximately 3 hectares at an altitude of 200-250 meters above sea level. Fermentation takes place with a long maceration of the skins, then the wine ages for a period of 24-36 cement tanks. Bright ruby red, the nose has a strong hint of aromatic mediterranean herbs and small red fruits. In the mouth it is warm, rich, with round tannins and a fresh finish. It goes well with meat ragù pasta and grilled red meat.
