Coteaux Champenois AOC "Cuvée des Grands Côtes" Ambonnay Rouge 2011 Egly-Ouriet
"Cuvée des Grands Côtes" Ambonnay Rouge 2011 is a fine red wine produced by Egly-Ouriet. It is a rare still wine produced in the Champagne region of France, made from old pinot noir vines located in Ambonnay, a Grand Cru village of Champagne. It is matured in oak barrels, partly new and partly first passage, for a period of about 20 months. It is a great red wine from Pinot noir that expresses a bright ruby red colour, with an intense nose of red fruit and flowers, spicy and smoky notes. The taste is balanced between softness and freshness, with well-blended tannins and a nice persistence.
