Crozes Hermitage 2019 Yann Chave
Crozes Hermitage 2019 is a natural red wine from the Rhone Valley produced by Yann Chave. This label is the most representative of the winery and the terroir, as Syrah grapes are derived from plots in the three main areas of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation: La Roche de Glun, Mercurol and Pont de l'Isère.
A defoliation of the bunches is done for an optimal exposure to the sun, before the late manual harvesting. The wine ferments spontaneously with indigenous yeasts from 20° to 30° for about three weeks with pumping over twice a day, where we try to cover all the marc cap. The wine then matures in steel tanks to keep the fruit characteristics intact.
Yann Chave's 2019 Crozes Hermitage has a ruby red color with purple highlights; the nose is very fruity with hints of black fruits, such as black currant or cassis, which are accompanied by notes of mint and spice, for a structured and full-bodied, fruity sip with delicate tannins and a fresh finish.
