Nero di Troia Rosato Bio 2018 Tenuta Demaio
Nero di Troia Rosato Bio 2018 is a natural red wine produced in Puglia by Demaio. It is made from 100% Nero di Troia from 10-20 year old vineyards that grow at 200 meters above sea level, an autochthonous Apulian grape variety that in the past was used as a cutting grape to enrich the grapes in structure and color, today it offers interesting wines if vinified in purity, as in the case of this Nero di Troia Tenuta Demaio vinified in rosé, produced according to traditional and natural methods at every stage: from the minimum use of chemicals in the vineyard, to spontaneous fermentations in the cellar, up to the packaging where the bottles have been made lighter and the labels produced in a particular material with minimal use of paper, up to the essential design that shows a simple square of a different color based on the 4 labels produced: Red, pink, yellow and orange. This choice stems from Demaio's desire to represent the essence of his land with pure and essential wines, stripped of any artifice. The Nero di Troia Rosato Bio 2018 undergoes one-night maceration and then racking; spontaneous fermentation with indigenous steel yeasts, no clarification or filtration. It is a cherry-pink color wine, with a fruity pomegranate nose and pepper notes, a straight, savory and juicy sip.
