Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Morandina 2018
Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Morandina 2018 is a natural fine wine from Veneto, produced by Graziano Pra. The winery is located in Monteforte d'Alpone, in the heart of Soave Classico production. In addition to this, the range of wines of the company consists of the other great classics of the Valpolicella area, grown in respect of the territory and in a natural way (without sulfins, only minimal percentages of copper and sulfur, and compounds of natural origin): Valpolicella and Amarone. "Ripasso" means that during fermentation, the wine is steeped in the marcs of Amarone to enrich its aromatic qualities. The grapes used are the autochthonous Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta, coming from the Morandina vineyard. This fine Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Morandina 2018 is an intense ruby red wine, with some purple hues; the nose is intense with prevailing notes of berries and spices. In the mouth it is full bodied and well balanced, with tannins present but delicate. Persistent and complex, it is good if kept a few years in the cellar. It goes well with meat dishes, stewed or roasted, aged cheese.
