Montecucco Sangiovese Biologico Poggio d'Oro 2017 Le Calle
Montecucco Sangiovese Biologico Poggio d'Oro 2017 is a Tuscan red wine produced with natural methods by Le Calle winery. We are in the Maremma area of Tuscany and this wine is made from pure Sangiovese grapes from medium-textured soils; it ferments in cement tanks for about 15-20 days and ages in French and Slavonian oak barrels for 18 months.
All the production phases are followed in line with the principles of organic farming, in full respect for the environment and the territory of origin. To the eye it expresses an intense ruby red color, while the nose offers an intense and predominantly fruity bouquet of plum and red berries, which are accompanied by floral and spicy notes and hints a bit 'more rustic aromas of vegetables and underbrush, typical of Sangiovese.
The character of the grape is also expressed in the mouth, through a firm and structured sip, having a good balance. An ideal wine to be consumed at table in combination with structured meat dishes or aged cheese.
